Visit the '#Hess5K Awards / Results' tab on this site for the entire listing of award winners from each year. Results from this year's event will be posted shortly after the conclusion of the event. If you do not see your time on the results it is likely because of two reasons: 1. You chose to remain anonymous in the results when you registered 2. You did not go through either the start or finish line with your bib on.
If you believe there is an error with your results, please contact us for assistance with a resolution.
Are there any run 'rules'?
When running, it's important to keep in mind the "Rules of the Road". Always stay to the far right of the walking trail and pass on the left when possible. Since Memorial Park will be open during the event, be mindful of people coming from the opposite direction. If running in a group, limit yourselves to no more than two abreast to prevent any collisions on the trail. Be considerate of other park patrons and remember that this is a friendly competition. Safety should always be a top priority!
To ensure the safety of all participants, baby joggers, strollers, animals, skates, or any other vehicular apparatus are not allowed on the race course due to insurance restrictions. While headphones are not prohibited, it is recommended to stay aware and connected with your surroundings during the race.

What are the history of Corporate Runs around the country?
Corporate runs, or company-sponsored running events, have a relatively short history in the United States, dating back to the early 1980s. The first corporate run was held in 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia, and was organized by a group of local business leaders looking to promote health and wellness among employees.
The success of the Atlanta event inspired other cities to follow suit, and soon corporate runs were being held in cities across the country, including New York City, Boston, and San Francisco. These events typically featured a 5K or 10K race course, and were open to employees of local companies, as well as individual runners and teams.
Over time, corporate runs became increasingly popular and began to evolve beyond simple running events. Many events, including the Hess 5K in Houston, now include additional activities such as live music, food and drink vendors, and sponsor booths, and often attract large crowds of runners and spectators.
Today, corporate runs are a common way for companies to promote health and wellness among their employees, build team spirit and camaraderie, and give back to their communities through charitable donations and sponsorships. They also provide an opportunity for individuals to participate in a fun and challenging athletic event, and to connect with others who share their passion for fitness and physical activity.

Houston Texans football games: The Houston Texans are the city's National Football League team, and attending games is another popular way for companies to entertain clients, reward employees, or host company outings.
Houston Art Car Parade: This annual parade features elaborately decorated cars, floats, and other vehicles, and is a celebration of Houston's art and cultural scene. Many companies participate in the event by sponsoring floats or hosting viewing parties for employees and clients.
